The fund is open to researchers from across the world that satisfy the eligibility criteria and complete their application via the Nature Portfolio portal on the Submittable platform. 

The programme will make a maximum of three awards per funding cycle, each of up to US$100,000. Research projects should be one year in duration.

Applications for the next round of funding open at 12:00 am UTC on 16 June 2022 and close at 11:59 pm UTC on 14th September 2022.
