Venture Center is happy to bring you the 

Second cohort of Stanford Seed Spark an online learning program designed by Stanford Seed 

– an initiative of Stanford Graduate School of Business

Seed Spark curriculum has been developed by Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) faculty who work with startups and teach the flagship course, Startup Garage, at the GSB to MBAs.

Stanford Seed Sark program is a four-month online program designed for early-stage entrepreneurs with tools to build their strategy, grow their network and ultimately boost their business or business acumen. 

Venture Center continues its partnership with the Stanford Seed Spark program for their second cohort to facilitate this opportunity for the Venture Center start-ups.

Here are some key highlights of the program:

  • Stanford Seed Spark is a 4-month, online program designed for early stage entrepreneurs
  • Time commitment from entrepreneurs:  5-8 hours/week  
  • Hands on experience that features:

(1) Live video conference sessions with business experts to launch each learning module

(2) Active, practical learning modules online with key activities and tools for early stage entrepreneurs

(3) Huddles with peers to foster networking and share progress

(4) 1:1 Mentorship support through meetings about program toolkits/activities to implement business advice swiftly in their growing start-ups

(5) Spark participants who complete activities will be paired with a mentor who will offer business advice based up on those activities

(6) The program culminates with a cash prize competition and entrepreneurs submitting a pitch video to be displayed on a public facing website. Interested members from Stanford Seed’s network of companies will be encouraged to interact with entrepreneurs about their venture/pitch. 

(7) Participants upon successful completion of the program will receive a “Certificate of Completion” issued by Stanford Seed GSB Executive Director and India’s Regional Director.

(8) Interested business leaders from Seed’s network of companies will be encouraged to interact with passing out entrepreneurs about their venture/pitch.

(9) Several practical tools to refine and develop your business or business idea & be part of a community of like-minded founders, sharing ideas and strategies to move business forward. Also, each entrepreneur will be granted access to the platform, NovoEd which helps in accessing video lectures and other contents, participating in like-minded entrepreneurs, and meet with mentors 

Which startups should apply ?

  • Have a Minimum Viable Product/service already in place.
  • Officially registered business with clean records of handling financial transactions.
  • Small dedicated team. 
  • Looking for mentors to help them grow.
  • Comfortable with an entirely online learning program. Have an undisrupted internet connection and proficiency in using digital tools.
  • An entrepreneur who is  working full time in the start-up nominated for Spark program. (i.e. Throughout program duration, the nominated participant should not be running a different business or working full-time as an employee in any other organization).
  • Entrepreneurs without any personal/professional commitments that can deter them from attending live sessions, peer huddles, mentor meetings, planned on most Wednesdays between 5 to 7 PM IST, from Sept to Dec 2021.

Program fees: Rs 11,800/ per entrepreneur
